Create an organization when you want a separate place for your team’s FTE Tree records. If your team has already invited you, accept that invitation instead. Joining their organization does not require a new trial.

Before you begin

Have these choices ready:

  • The organization’s name.
  • The time zone your team uses.
  • The earliest date you need to enter records for.
  • The features and number of positions you want to try.

You do not need a credit card to start the trial. The creation page shows the available plans, trial length, and prices. Billing and subscriptions explains what each plan includes.

For the getting-started walkthrough, use a practice organization named Evergreen Health.

Choose Workforce Planning for the budget, pay, and workforce plan lessons. Position Control is enough for the position, staffing, and request lessons.

Create your organization

  1. Choose Start free. Sign in or create your account if prompted.
  2. Read any invitation notice. If it is from the team you meant to join, choose Review invitation instead of creating another organization.
  3. Under Choose your plan, select the edition and available billing option.
  4. Choose the number of positions and check the displayed estimate.
  5. Enter Organization name.
  6. Choose Historical baseline date. This is the earliest date FTE Tree will use for your organization’s information. It does not make every position start on that day.
  7. Choose Time zone.
  8. Read and accept the linked terms if you are authorized to do so for the organization.
  9. Select Create organization and start trial.

If a field shows an error, correct that field, read the form again, and submit. If you are already signed in, the create-organization action may be available from the organization selection page.

To create another organization while working in an existing one, open the organization menu and choose New organization. Choose Back to [organization name] at the top to return to your previous page without creating an organization. If you opened the form from the organization selection page, choose Back to organizations to return there.

The example position starts on January 1, 2027. Choose a historical baseline no later than that, and within the dates allowed by the form. If you are creating the organization before January 2027, an earlier allowed date works; the example’s position can still start in the future.

Check your new workspace

You should now be able to see the organization’s name in the header and open its setup guide.

  1. Check the name and time zone in Manage organization settings.
  2. Open Billing and check the trial and selected position quantity.
  3. Follow Set up and maintain your organization to add departments, job codes, schedules, and reviewers.

The creator automatically receives Organization administrator, Organization operations administrator, and Full workforce and financial access with All departments coverage. Together they provide every customer permission; enabled features and workflow requirements still apply. There is no separate owner privilege. Before handing over the last administrator responsibility, explicitly appoint another active member.

Next, prepare Evergreen Health’s example records. If you entered a setting incorrectly, use its settings page to fix it; you usually do not need another organization.

If creation cannot finish

If the page cannot load plans, it explains that pricing is temporarily unavailable. Try again later or contact support with the message.

If you are unsure whether an earlier submission worked, check the organization selector before creating again. For invitation problems, use Invitations and organizations. For password or verification problems, use Cannot sign in.

When asking for help, include the organization name, approximate time, and exact message. Leave passwords and verification codes out.
