Your FTE Tree account holds your profile, verified email, sign-in methods, preferences, and signed-in devices. The same account can belong to more than one organization, while access remains separate in each organization.

Open the account menu and select Profile to manage your information.

Change your display name

Open Profile > Display name and enter the name you want other people to see. This name appears in FTE Tree activity, comments, requests, and user lists.

Microsoft, Google, or a company sign-in service can supply your name when the account is created. Updating your FTE Tree profile does not change your name in that external service.

Manage your password

Open Password to change your FTE Tree password.

If you currently sign in only through Microsoft, Google, or a company service, the page lets you add an FTE Tree password. Adding or changing it does not change a password managed by another service.

Use a unique password that you do not use anywhere else. If you forgot it, use the reset link on the sign-in page rather than creating another account.

Manage connected sign-in methods

Open Connections to add or remove available Microsoft or Google sign-in methods and to review a company sign-in connection created through an organization’s approved sign-in flow.

FTE Tree will not let you remove your only way to sign in unless another method is available. If another method is available, you can remove a company connection, but you will not be able to open an organization that requires it until you reconnect through that organization’s company sign-in link. Removing a connection from FTE Tree does not delete the separate Microsoft, Google, or company account.

An organization can require its own company sign-in method and can separately require an authenticator app for standard access. Your FTE Tree password or another connection can still work for your account but will not replace the exact company method or the separate FTE Tree MFA check.

Change your email

  1. Open Email.
  2. Enter the new address.
  3. Open the verification email.
  4. Use the verification link to finish the change.

Your current email remains active until the new address is verified. Invitations and organization notifications use the verified account email.

Changing your email does not prove that you use a company account, satisfy required company sign-in, or automatically add or remove organization access. An organization’s email policy can also stop organization email from being sent to an address outside its permitted domains.

Confirm recent account access

Changing your email, adding or removing a connected sign-in method, adding your first FTE Tree password, or signing out your other sessions requires account confirmation from within the previous 15 minutes. Adding or removing an authenticator and generating replacement recovery codes use the same recent-account confirmation when you already have a confirmation method.

Depending on the methods available to you, account confirmation can use your FTE Tree password, authenticator, or a recovery code. If you have neither a usable FTE Tree password nor FTE Tree MFA, you must set up the authenticator before an email, connection, first-password, or session change can continue. Setting up that first authenticator is itself the way to add a confirmation method.

This includes accounts that sign in only through Microsoft, Google, or a company provider. Provider MFA does not replace the separate FTE Tree account confirmation.

This 15-minute account confirmation is separate from the recent MFA checks used for protected organization administration. Changing an existing FTE Tree password asks for the current password directly. See Sign in and use MFA for the supported MFA methods and recovery code limits.

FTE Tree asks you to review the current Terms of Service and Privacy Policy before continuing when you have not accepted them or when either policy changes. Open each policy from the page, review its effective date and change summary when shown, then choose Agree and continue if you accept the current policies.

Your earlier acceptance remains in the legal record when a policy changes. If you do not agree, sign out instead of continuing. An authorized billing manager can use any cancellation link shown on the page without accepting the updated policies, or you can contact Support for help.

Manage preferences

Choose your time zone and theme from your profile. Dates and times shown to you use your account time zone where applicable.

While you are in an organization, open Profile > Email notifications to choose which approval assignment and approval result emails you receive for that organization. Comment mentions appear in FTE Tree; they do not send email. These choices do not remove work or messages from FTE Tree. Sign-in, security, invitation, billing, and service email follow their own rules.

Review signed-in devices

Open Sessions to review where your account is signed in. Choose the available action and confirm recent account access to sign out every other session when you no longer use or recognize one of them.

Signing out other sessions affects every organization used from those sign-ins. It does not sign out your current session, deactivate your membership, or delete account history.

Account status

If FTE Tree says your account is inactive, do not create a second account to work around it. Follow the page guidance or contact Support using the email address associated with the account.

Organization access can be inactive even while your FTE Tree account remains active. An organization administrator manages the membership; FTE Tree Support handles account-level recovery.
