Open Issues from the main navigation. The default view shows open issues and those awaiting verification that you may read. Use the category and status filters to review staffing, budget, actual compensation, or setup work. Choose Issues I can review to narrow the list to your management permissions.

Affected pages show one notice when there are issues to resolve. Select Review issues to open the Issues table filtered to the affected record or financial area, including work scheduled for later review. The link keeps the page’s applicable department and date filters. Forecast links select the forecast and saved revision across its planning period. The selected context appears above the table and stays selected when you search, sort, or change status. Select Clear to return to the default Issues view. Select the issue number, such as ISS-0001, in the first column to see the affected records and correction action. Activity history shows past changes without issue notices.

The number beside Issues counts open issues and those awaiting verification within your management access. It excludes resolved issues, accepted arrangements, and work scheduled for later review. A shared issue counts once, even when it affects several records. The badge is hidden at zero and shows 99+ for 100 or more issues. Requests and Notifications use the same display limit.

An issue explains what is missing, which dates and records are affected, and where to correct it. Status shows whether it is open, awaiting verification, or scheduled for review. Affected dates shows when the information is missing, rather than when the issue was detected. Affected calculation date identifies the date of a financial result. A shared setup issue can affect several records. You see only information allowed by your access. Access to a position does not automatically include budget or employee pay issues.

Each issue has a permanent number within your organization. Search by the full number to find it again. The number stays the same when an issue resolves or returns. The table header shows the current status and scope, together with any category, date, search, or position filters you apply. Clear restores the default view. Select a table column heading to sort the matching issues; select it again to reverse the order.

Before you begin

Opening Issues requires management access in at least one area. You also need permission to read each issue’s staffing, budget, employee pay, or setup information. If you have read access without management access, a notice appears on the affected records so you can ask the person responsible to review the issues. The Issues link appears when you have access to Issues. Correction links appear only when you can manage that information. Reviewing an entire shared issue requires authority over every affected record or the shared setup.

Correct the information

Select the issue number to open Fix issue. Use the page tabs to choose Review later, Accept arrangement, or History. Only actions allowed for that issue and its current status appear. Each action has its own page and fields. Select the position label to open its Details for the affected date and inspect the information behind the issue. Use the actual effective date and values. Saving a correction starts verification; it does not independently mark the issue complete. Awaiting verification means the updated information is still being checked. The issue resolves when the check confirms the problem is fixed. A partial correction leaves the remaining work open.

For Position lifecycle missing, open Fix issue and use Add missing Active status. The page shows the approved position start date and the initial Active status that will be restored. Add a correction note and select Add missing Active status. Later approved status changes are kept. The issue is checked again after the correction is saved.

Missing budgeted compensation may be supplied by an applicable position or job-code rate. When an issue groups positions with the same job code, its heading identifies that job code. Select Add job-code budget rate to supply a shared rate, or Add position budget rate for an individual position. The shared action requires all-departments labor budget management access. A job-code rate can also apply to other positions using that job code; position-specific rates take precedence. After verification, corrected positions leave the affected list, and the issue stays open while any affected positions still need a rate.

Missing employee pay is separate from a staffing vacancy. Fixing one does not necessarily fix the other.

When adding, scheduling, or correcting a budget rate, use the rate history beside the form to compare past and scheduled rates for the selected position or job code. On smaller screens, the reference appears below the form. The status column uses the selected date. On a budget issue correction, it uses the affected budget date. Use the issue breadcrumb to return to the issue and review any remaining positions.

If you can read an issue but cannot fix it, no correction link appears. Ask the person responsible for that area to review it.

Review later

Open Review later and enter a future review date, then select Schedule review. The date is required. You may add a note explaining the decision. The issue moves to Review later, while the affected calculation or staffing condition remains unchanged.

On the review date, the issue is checked again using your organization’s local date. It returns to Open if work remains, or Awaiting verification while the check finishes. If the problem is fixed earlier, it resolves automatically. A material change can bring it back sooner. An authorized person can change the review date on Review later, or open Return to Open to resume attention immediately. Return to Open is available for deferred issues and accepted arrangements and requires no date.

Accept an intentional staffing arrangement

Some staffing issues have an Accept arrangement tab. Enter a reason and select Accept arrangement. A reason is required; a review date is not needed. This records a business decision; it does not change the position or assignment. The decision applies to the recorded arrangement and must be reviewed if relevant facts change. Missing required financial information cannot be accepted as a completed calculation.

Why an issue returned

Issues awaiting verification or already resolved open on History. A resolved issue returns when a new check confirms the problem exists again. For example, a budget rate ends, employee pay no longer covers an assignment, or approved position FTE increases beyond the assigned amount.

An accepted arrangement returns if its relevant facts change or the acceptance is withdrawn. Deferred work returns when its review date arrives and the problem remains. A normal refresh, unrelated edit, or permission change does not reopen an issue.

Open the separate History page to see earlier detections, review decisions, resolutions, and recurrences in a sortable table. Use its page controls to review older entries, including review dates and notes your access allows you to read. Seeing an existing issue after your access changes is not a new recurrence.
