Overview

An invitation can be accepted only by the FTE Tree account whose verified email exactly matches the invited address, while the invitation is active and its selected access is still valid.

Do not create multiple accounts to test different addresses. First identify the invitation state and verified email.

Invitation is not listed

  1. Open Profile > Email and note the verified address.
  2. Open Profile > Invitations.
  3. Compare the verified address with the invitation email.
  4. Ask the administrator to confirm the address and status.
  5. If the address is wrong, ask them to cancel and replace the invitation.

If you have no organization membership yet, Welcome shows invitations for the verified email.

Invitation is scheduled, expired, or cancelled

Only an active invitation can be accepted.

  • Scheduled: Wait until its start date or ask the administrator to update it.
  • Expired: Ask the administrator to update the dates or send a replacement.
  • Cancelled: Ask whether a new invitation is appropriate.
  • Accepted: Switch to the organization instead of accepting again.

These states remain visible so the history is understandable.

Email does not match

The invited email and verified account email must be the same. Aliases and forwarded messages do not automatically count as the invited address.

Choose one safe correction:

  • Verify the invited address on the intended FTE Tree account, when it should be that account’s email.
  • Ask the administrator to cancel the invitation and send it to the correct verified address.

Do not ask the administrator to weaken the email policy or share an invitation link with someone else.

A selected role is unavailable

An invitation is blocked when one of its selected roles was made unavailable. Someone who can manage user access must update the invitation with an active appropriate role before you can accept.

The administrator should also confirm department access. A role with no department access can let someone join the organization but show no protected records.

Company sign-in is required

Accepting an invitation does not bypass required company sign-in.

  1. Sign out of unrelated Microsoft or Google accounts if the browser keeps choosing the wrong one.
  2. Choose the organization’s company sign-in method.
  3. Use the company account intended for this organization.
  4. Return to the invitation.

Ask the company identity administrator to resolve an inactive company account or provider MFA problem.

You joined but cannot see anything

The invitation can be accepted even when the person has no access role or no department access.

Ask someone who can manage user access to review:

  • Active membership.
  • Effective roles.
  • Department access.
  • Whether a company group is expected to grant access.

Use Cannot see a record or action after the membership itself is active.

What the administrator should check

  • Exact invited email.
  • Current status and dates.
  • Allowed email domains.
  • Active selected roles.
  • Department access.
  • Required company sign-in.
  • Invitation history and any visible block message.

After correcting the invitation, send a reminder rather than creating duplicates.

When to contact Support

Include the invited email, organization name, invitation state, visible message, and approximate time. Do not forward company sign-in credentials or one-time codes.
