Your sign-in account gives you access to FTE Tree. An employee record describes a person who fills a job. You can review staffing without being recorded as an employee, and an employee does not need an account to be assigned to a position.
Before you begin
Have your invitation, the organization name, and the sign-in method your administrator expects you to use. For the search exercise, ask your instructor for a prepared Patient Services Coordinator position number.
If you were invited to an existing organization, accept that invitation. Creating another organization will not give you access to the one that invited you.
Accept the invitation and sign in
- Open your invitation and check the organization name and invited email address.
- Follow its sign-in or account-creation steps using the invited address.
- Use the password, Microsoft, Google, or company sign-in option arranged for your account.
- Complete any additional identity check. Multi-factor authentication, or MFA, usually asks for a code from an authenticator app after your first sign-in step.
- Choose the intended organization if you belong to more than one.
FTE Tree may require its own verification even after you complete your company’s sign-in checks. If the invitation is expired or was sent to the wrong address, ask your administrator to correct it. Use sign-in troubleshooting if you cannot reach the organization.
Find a position in two ways
- Open Workforce > Position control and search for the position number.
- Open the matching result. Check its title and department so you know it is the intended job.
- Return to Home, then use FTE Tree’s search to find the same position.
- Choose the same date in both views before comparing the details.
Search can only show information you have permission to use. A missing result does not prove that the position was deleted.
Find a setting and return to your work
Open Settings if it is available to you. Search for or locate Work schedules, then read its description. You are locating the page; this exercise does not require changing a schedule.
If you cannot see Settings, use the instructor’s demonstration to see where an administrator finds it. Return to Home, then open the position again. Your organization’s labels for people and positions may differ from the examples.
Check your understanding
You should be able to name the organization you are using and find the same position through navigation and search. Explain why Avery’s employee record does not give Avery a sign-in account.
