Workforce plans
Explore changes, compare options, and apply the changes you approve.
A workforce plan lets your team explore staffing and cost changes before making them official. You can propose a new position, a different hiring date, or a budget or pay change, then compare the expected effect with approved information. Workforce plans are part of Workforce Planning.
Active plans update when approved records change, while saved results keep the information used for an earlier review. When you are ready to act, an authorized administrator chooses the changes to apply, reviews any affected position requests, and provides the application reason. To seek departmental approval for one position instead, open its ordinary request form and submit explicitly. Saving a proposal does not change official records, and a plan does not need one overall Approved status. These guides take you from exploring a question to understanding the results, working with contributions from colleagues, and applying the changes you choose.
